Ambra Double Pendant

The new series of luminous sculptures called "Ambra Toba" combines volumes of ancient stones and aluminum. The centerpiece is the Mexican stone "Volcanic Tuff" which consists of minerals, glass and volcanic remains expelled a million years ago during severe eruptions. The fragments on the geometric surfaces are testimony to these explosions and movements. The contrast between the porous textures and the soft, dark red color underlines the studio's contemporary focus on traditional materials and craftsmanship. The connecting components between the stone sculptural elements and the aluminum parts come from intensive research that seeks to link unique handmade shapes with industrial pieces.
