Ambra Double Pendant Black

The new series of light sculptures called Ambra combines volumes of ancient stones and aluminum. The central element is the Mexican stone "Volcanic Tuff" which is composed of minerals, glass and volcanic remains expelled a million years ago during severe eruptions. The fragments on the geometric surfaces are testimony to these explosions and movement. The contrast between porous textures and textured black metal underlines the studio's contemporary focus on traditional materials and craftsmanship. The connecting components between the stone sculptural elements and the aluminum parts come from intensive research to link unique handmade shapes with industrial parts.
